About
Fun fin Orchestra is an interdisciplinary educational project that covers IT, visual art and music areas. We offer workshops and pedagogical concerts.
Our focus is on using sound-based improvisation as a teaching methodology while making contemporary art forms accessible to non-specialised audiences. This modular project adapts to the needs of each educational institution, cultural venue or hosting space. The audience and the participants take part in a truly authentic, innovative and interdisciplinary learning experience.

Workshops for musicians
+ final concert
This package includes music workshops and a final concert for music students of different backgrounds.
During the workshops the students will learn about and experiment with collective improvisation. They will also dive into the relation of visual arts with sound through interactive videogames. They will play with the main Fun Fin Orchestra videogame as well as with extra educational mini-games created specifically for these workshops.

Educational concert
Fun Fin Orchestra is also a videogame-concert played by professional musicians. This unique audio-visual spectacle helps non specialised audiences to approach and enjoy collectively improvised music.
This educational concert is a live multimedia piece that uses video games as an expressive medium. The audience will enjoy a real-time videogame performance controlled by improvised live music, and will also actively participate in the artistic creation through sound and physical controllers.

Workshops for kids
+ final concert
In this package we offer interactive IT/Music workshops for non-specialised student groups of different educational institutions plus a final concert.
Our priority is to create a safe and fun space that allows the participants to explore their creativity. The objective of the workshop is to awaken curiosity about sound and its expressive capabilities using musical collective improvisation and new technologies as playful tools.

Workshops for docents
During this course, we will explore different educational possibilities of collective musical improvisation and new technologies. We will discuss and use innovative digital technologies and analog electrical equipment in various activities. The course is aimed at teachers and future teachers of primary, secondary, and conservatory education. Participants do not require any prior musical theoretical knowledge or instrumental or vocal skills.

It was an amazing week teaching this course for musicians + final concert (Check package 1) in Granada. The improvement of these classic music students in free improvisation it was incredible. We enjoyed a lot the final performances.

Full out for the second educational concert (Check package 3) in Granada. 300 kids from primary and secondary school played with us the travel of our small fish.
Kaalo101 in Kathmandu (Nepal, 2023)
The students learned the basics of generative audioreactive live visuals and created amazing pieces by themselves.
American School of The Hague (NL, 2023)
We had incredible free music sessions and a great videogame-concert with 10 talented young musicians. These ASH students could enjoyed the package 1, course for musicians + final concert .
International School of Delft (NL,2023)
The secondary students from Delft learned about sound painting. They became masters improvising loops. We work with them during 4 sessions of Music workshops for kids + final concert (check package 2)

MUSIC - ART - IT - EDUCATION
Common Dream is a creative meeting point for multidisciplinary artists and educators. Fun Fin Orchestra is the latest creation of this company based in Holland. This piece was designed, composed and developed by Guillermo Martín-Viana and Emilio Parrilla, who together are researching new forms of artistic expression that actively involve different audiences and performers.
They mix visual arts, live music, pedagogy and new technologies, creating multidisciplinary performative artworks that connect non-specialized audiences and musicians with contemporary art forms.
They have performed together with Fun Fin Orchestra and other productions of theirs in more than 25 countries in Europe, America and Asia.
